Worth a two hour drive!!
First I want to start out by saying I quit going to NHL games because I don't like the new style game or the crowd at the United Center. I'm not sure if 3/4 of the people at the UC really know a hockey game is going on. Its hard when you have your phone is in the hand the whole time, taking selfies and texting. The last hockey game at the UC I was at ,I left early out of boredom. How can you be in the middle of the 3rd period and not have a hit in the game??
I first discovered AHL hockey three weeks ago when the Ice Hogs played the Wolves at All State Arena. I had a good time. This was old school hockey. I decided to take the trip to Rockford to watch the Moose at the Ice Hogs. I had a blast!! This place is like a mini Chicago Stadium how it was in the late 80's early 90's!!!! The crowd is paying attention, they are into the game, and you don't see phone glued into hands! I really had a GREAT time! I love the old school hockey where they like to check and protect the goalies! I will definitely be back!
